Rotary District 5030's District Conference will be held in the Tri-Cities from May 16 through the 18th. We will present dictionaries to 250 third grade students during this conference. We ask that each club consider donating funds toward this project. We provided 250 dictionaries last year during the District Conference in Coeur d' Alene at a cost of $ 2500.00. It was a huge success. We would like to make it even better this year. To do so, we ask that each club donate a minimum of $ 100.00 toward this project. All checks are to be made payable to the Rotary District 5030 Service Fund and mailed to me: Cothron L. McMillian, c/o Whittier Elementary School, 1320 NW 75th Street, Seattle, WA 98117. We are currently accepting checks.
If your club has yet to order dictionaries for local students, it is not too late. New orders will be placed by no later than May 30, 2008 for a June 15 delivery. Deliveries are made to Paratex Pest Control located at 423 South Horton Street in the SODO district of Seattle. You will be notified of pick-up details once the dictionaries arrive in the warehouse.
