When I knew information about The Cultural Experience Exchange Programs in USA that is supported by Rotary, I asked myself what is Rotary. I remember that I used to hear something about Rotary when I took part in a charity program for Children and poor people in Centre of Vietnam few years ago.

I am a Pediatrician. I have worked in paediatrics field  for 17 years. I have cured many children but sometime I failed. Everyday, I examine and treat about 20 patients. I also manage the healthy children following the Mass Inoculation Program in a region of HCM City. In some recent years, I concern to epidemics diseases  especial viral hepatitis and meningitis. Beside that, I also work in Plan Department, I manage education, training and research in Nguyen Tri Phuong hospital.

Why I apply to this program? This may be an opportunity for me to improve my knowledge in medicine and some other fields, for example culture, society…..I think I can share my experiences in treating, management and education the patients and their family , especial why they have to get booster vaccination, why they have to follow up when they get chronic diseases for example asthma, kidney diseases… I can learn from an expert in their field. I hope that I have more skills or key methods for developing health system. With  knowledge and experiences I hope I can help Vietnamese children and community to improve their health.

I am one of the leaders of the Youth Doctor Club in HCM City and in my hospital. I have been many poor and far places in Vietnam to help people about health and hygiene problems. I love them and I think I have responsibility to reduce difficulty they have got.

I want to exchange information about culture, history with participants in USA to improve and expand the friendship. The last one I want to have a lot of friends.
