The Rotary Club of SeaTac strives to maintain a membership that is an up-to-date representation of our community's business,
professional and vocational interests. A diverse membership is vital to our Club's continuing operation and success with community, international and vocational service activities.
Among our objectives is to expand the Club with committed members who have the interest and ability to get involved with service and
humanitarian related projects. Moreover, our members are encouraged to aspire to leadership and committee positions.
An important distinction between Rotary and other organizations is that membership is by invitation. Prospective club members must:
- Hold, or be retired from, a professional, proprietary, executive or managerial position.
- Have the capacity to meet attendance and community project participation requirements.
- Live or work within the locality or the surrounding area.
Membership in a Rotary club offers a number of benefits, including:
- Effecting change within the community.
- Developing leadership, public speaking and social skills.
- Gaining an understanding of, and having an impact on, international humanitarian issues.
- Developing relationships with community and business leaders.
- Making friends and having fun.
Rotary club membership also bears certain responsibilities, such as:
- Attendance of regular weekly meetings.
- Participation in local and/or international activities and projects.
- Payment of annual Club, District and Rotary International dues.
Rotary clubs are made up of business and professional leaders who take an active role in the
community while greatly enriching their personal and professional lives.
